TRYING ON WEDDING DRESSES: HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR BRIDAL FITTING
You're trying on wedding dresses, one of the most magical moments leading up to your wedding. But how does a bridal fitting actually work? What should you bring? And how do you ensure it's a truly enjoyable and relaxing experience? In this blog post, we share practical and inspiring tips so you can fully enjoy your search for the perfect dress.
Start trying on wedding dresses in time
It might sound early, but it's wise to start trying on wedding dresses 8 to 12 months before your wedding. Why? Many dresses have a lead time of about 4 to 6 months. This is often followed by one or two more fittings for any necessary alterations. At Juliet Bridal, we like to take our time with you, and that luxury starts with thorough planning.

Good preparation starts with inspiration. On our website you will find an impression of our Wedding dress collection, featuring designs by Viktor&Rolf , Justin Alexander Signature, and our own private label, Juliet Atelier. This will give you an idea of what you like and help you dream of your favorites. Please note: not all dresses from our collection are available online. Click here to view our lookbook .
Who do you take with you to your fitting?
At Juliet Bridal, it's all about tranquility, experience, and personalized attention. That's why we reserve our boutique exclusively for you and your party. We recommend bringing two to three people who know you well and understand your taste. Too many opinions can be overwhelming; this moment is all about you.
What are you bringing?
Don't stress, you don't have to pack a whole suitcase. But with these items, you'll be well-prepared for your appointment:
1. Seamless, skin-colored underwear
2. A strapless bra (optional, but handy)
3. Shoes with a similar heel height to the one you plan to wear
4. Any accessories or veil you already have
But most importantly: Keep an open mind. Many brides end up falling in love with a dress they never would have chosen online.
